Allah and God are one and the same. When Christianity and Islam branched from Judaism (the older religion of your friends the Jews, from which they are both derived, in case you didn't realise), they retained the key figures but evolved different belief systems around the same common theme.

This is called a "logical proof".

In Islam, Jesus was sent to Earth as a prophet of God, rather than being his son. Mind you, you'd expect a few inconsistency to creep in over the hundreds of years that the bible and koran were being written, assembled, edited, transcribed, translation, re-edited, etc, etc.
